Couples

Couples who seek therapy often find themselves feeling stuck in familiar patterns, sharing less of themselves in their partnership and building walls instead of opening into deeper love and trust. Both often feel confused, hurt, angry, resentful, and disappointed with each other, while struggling with issues of self-blame, guilt, low self-esteem, and fears of abandonment, often originating from past traumas.

My role as a couple’s counselor is to hold a place of neutrality and non-judgement, while helping couples shift out of these painful patterns through increased awareness and more effective listening and communication skills. By setting short-term and long-term goals, while developing these skills, this process can deepen trust and intimacy and help rekindle the spark that brought you together. Some of the areas commonly explored include:

  • Premarital counseling

  • conflict resolution and management

  • enhanced communication skills

  • money and finances

  • work-life balance
