Insurance & Reimbursement

I serve as an out-of-network provider for all PPO insurance plans. An out-of-network provider is a provider who does not work with a specific plan or insurance company to provide services to them solely. This means that if you have PPO or HSA benefits, you can use these for our therapy sessions.
At the end of each quarter, I will provide you with the information they require in the form of a superbill. This statement will include the number of sessions attended and cost of each session. Your insurance will process this according to their reimbursement rate and send you a check directly.

How does insurance work?

The vast majority of insurance plans include some mental health coverage. If you have a PPO plan most likely your insurance company will reimburse a percentage of the cost of your therapy sessions. They will do this according to your plan’s benefits package. The amount reimbursed is dependent upon factors including the amount of your annual deductible and the rate that your employer has negotiated. Check with your insurance company’s online portal to determine your specific benefits.
